The excavation shows you the earliest human footprints, skills and abilities of our ancestors. Right after you walk by a model of Babylon (around 500 A.D.), you come upon an aqyptian tomb. Only when walking the „Path of Enlightenment“ you are able to emerge back into the light and stand infront of a Nil ship.
Ancient Greece with its scientific and philisophical advancements is introduced to you. Test out the Pythagorean Theorem or watch how a small flame is able to open a temple door.
The Archimedes screw on the Roman aqueduct offers sporty visitors the opportunity to pump water up a few meters with the help of a running wheel. Others prefer to rest in the garden of the Roman house before the "arduous" climb to the second level.
